BIG plans interfaith “A Service of Thanksgiving”
The Bethlehem Interfaith Group (BIG) will offer “A Service of Thanksgiving,” planned for Sunday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m., in person, at Congregation Brith Sholom, 1190 West Macada Rd, Bethlehem. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The service will feature contributions from many of the faiths represented, including music, readings, prayer, and interactive responses. Rev. Nina Patton-Semerod of Epworth United Methodist Church will offer the meditation, and a variety of faith communities will provide musical selections.
The Covid-19 protocols of the host, Congregation Brith Sholom, will be in place: all attendees must correctly wear a mask.
A free will collection will be taken to benefit New Bethany Ministries, an interfaith, non-profit organization with its main location in Southside Bethlehem. Its staff, along with almost 1000 volunteers, served over 225,000 meals, prevented 880 households from homelessness, and provided 3250 nights of shelter, among numerous other services.
