Vacation Bible School July 19-23, 2021

Vacation Bible School Wrap Up!!

Our modified VBS (numbers of participants kept purposefully low due to COVID)  was successful in reaching the families of 31 children, 16 youth leaders and 22 adult leaders.  New this year was an adult class led by Joe Bleier and Pastor Mike.  Seven adults partipated in this class. We sang songs, played games, read Bible stories, created crafts, ate snacks, made new friends

more all while learning about and sharing God's love this week.  $200.00 was offered to support our VBS program and support the Good Gifts Program of the ELCA.  We closed with an ice cream party and closing celebration of God's love where we sang, played instruments, performed a skit and prayed.  Thank you and God's Blessings to all who worked to make this year's VBS a true reflection of God's love!!  Thank you to Karen Favinger and Thrivent Financial for the action team funds which supported our program this summer!!  Thank you to all who donated decorations, supplies, ice pops, food and ice cream for this week!!  All is to the Glory of God!!  Amen!

Youth Outdoor Fun
June 27, 2021

Our Jr|Sr Youth and 36ers gathered at Light of Christ campus on a very humid Sunday evening. We spent our time together catching up, eating pizza, tye dying T-shirts, playing outdoor games; frisbee, kickball and spike ball. We then ended the evening with a couple rounds of sardines, a youth favorite. Many thanks to our youth leaders for their time and dedication, Tina Piscitello for her help during the event and our youth parents for the snack and drink donations. 💞☀️✝️

UPG & St. John's Windish Youth

We were blessed to be able to hold our Children’s/Youth Worship from the porch of the LOC Sunday Christian Ed building and under canopies. We sang our Hosannas with beautiful palm fronds! Many people worked together to make this happen. Our young people led us with their many talents! Our Lenten Fair portion had to be reimagined and items reflective of the Lenten/Easter seasons were sent home with each attendee. Hosanna, Blessed is He who comes! Our offering provided $74.00 to the Templo El Refugio Food Bank on Dewberry Avenue.
